Testing: Tammy Fender Anti-Ageing Skincare
When I was ill (are you getting tired of hearing about it yet? It's like being stuck in a bad version of American Pie, isn't it? And this one time, at band camp...) I started testing out some new skincare. Not new as in newly launched, just new to me, but it still filled me with the kind of excitement usually reserved for when people win small fortunes on the lottery or go out to pick up a new car. I'm sad like that - beauty things please me, and especially beauty things packaged up into a lovely box with a drawer that slides open. An entire little beauty regime; three weeks' worth of cleanser, rose water, serum, peel, repair cream and (kind of incongruously) a lavender body oil.
This kit costs £130 from Cult Beauty, so it's very firmly in the premium beauty category. Price-wise, for the full-size products, it's at about the same level as Omorovicza or perhaps Perricone MD - we're talking around £100 for a face cream and £35-£40 for a cleanser. A definite commitment, financially, if you were to adopt the full range - though I don't quite think that it would work out to be as expensive as the kit pricing suggests. So, what do you get for your dough? Tammy Fender says this:

And my findings so far? Well, I've only done a few days, while I was at band camp ill, and I was actually very surprised at how potent the products were. They seemed to be almost supercharged, if that makes any sense? Perhaps I was more sensitive to what was happening to my body, but I really did experience a feeling of wellbeing after using the whole set of products. My skin had been dry and completely sapped of any kind of healthiness and after three little sessions it looked better than it had done before I went to band camp got ill! Perhaps I spent longer massaging it all in and really taking care with application - who knows. I'll update you again, I'm sure, once I've finished the products. So far, though, I'd say that the star products are actually the two in the jars - one is an Epi-Peel and the other a Repair Balm. The peel really brightened my skin without feeling abrasive or stripping, the repair cream made my skin feel comfortable, moisturised and plump. Really very impressive.
