Kittens Riding Unicorns…

Ah, you can’t fail to have a good day when you’re wearing a load of kittens riding around on unicorns. I bought this dress last year from Silken Favours and (in true Crilly style) saved it for a special occasion, tags still on, in the “forgotten” section of my wardrobe. (Full of indulgent purchases that I’m too scared to wear and saving for best.) Anyway, the need for loose and forgiving garments has forced many of my “special purchases” into the daylight – there’s also a Vivienne Westwood silk jumpsuit and a Stella McCartney jumper dress that finally got de-tagged and thrown on for the same reason!

So the Silken Favours dress has become a kind of semi-tunic, covering the bump nicely but now far too short to wear without something underneath. (My new, slightly doughy thighs would not be doing Silken Favours any favours whatsoever at the moment! They are going to need some serious body-brushing and squats to get them back in order once I’ve finished eating. I mean having a baby.) Very handy, and I’m glad I rescued it from the storage unit and bought it with me on my temporary accommodation adventure.

Makeup in these pictures? L’Oreal Paris Infallible Foundation (see yesterday’s post), the new Silent Nude blusher from the NARS x Christopher Kane collection (post soon), Giorgio Armani Fluid Eye Tint in “Senseo” (again, post soon) and Laura Mercier’s Creme Smooth Lipstick in “Biscotti”.

Biscotti is the lipstick in the front-right of the above photo; at first a seemingly too-orangey nude, but actually very wearable and luscious on the lips. The texture of this particular Creme Smooth lipstick is wonderful, very buttery and luscious. I’ll pop it into a video soon so that you can see it in action! You can find it at SpaceNK here. The Silken Favours dress was bought directly from the brand at a kind of pop-up shop event, but their website is here if you want to ask them where you can get it – and there’s a very similar shirt version on Net-a-Porter here.
