Summer Gardens and Dusty Attics…

fragrance review summer

A fragrance for those looking for something distinctly summery; the Antiquarius Petals from Royal Apothic. Surprisingly, for such a gorgeously presented perfume, it’s priced at just £26. And it’s not a fragrance that you’re going to smell on every Tom, Dick and Harry, either – it’s a bespoke perfume created especially for Anthropologie.

I think that it’s a very fresh, uplifting scent, but it has a fruity richness too and something a little dark and musky as an afterthought. English gardens and darkened parlours; bedrooms with windows open and curtains flapping in the summer breeze, old leather chairs in an Oxford reading room. Something for everyone, I’d say, and quite a safe bet if you were buying as a gift – there’s nothing outlandish about this scent, it’s just very lovely. And that box! It makes me think of lost treasure maps in dusty attics…
