My Five Most-Used Face Bases…

This video is a bit of a “precursor” to the full-length foundation guide that I’m going to film in the New Year. I’ve picked out my five most-used foundations and bases and shown them in action, along with a little blurb about each and the kind of coverage and finish that they give.

I’d like to point out that there are loads of bases that I love and that deserve to be in this video, but I wanted to keep it short and succinct and so I’ve picked out five that are reasonably different to one another. They also happen to be the five that I use most regularly, so that works well!

One more point before we start the video, and that is the issue of cost. There have been a few comments on Youtube with regards to the fact that my top five are all high-end: not quite sure what to say about that, other than I use what I use! There are some brilliant high-street bases out there and they will be in the longer video, but I don’t reach for them quite so much as the ones featured. (Apart from Boots No7 Tinted Moisturiser, which is one of the best available in my opinion, and only didn’t make an appearance because I couldn’t find the bloody thing! It will feature heavily in Foundations: The Movie, believe me.)

OK, on with the show – if you’re reading on an email then please click here to watch the video, otherwise scroll down. Info on products below – the brush used throughout is by Real Techniques, part of the “Sam’s Picks” set, here.

In this video I am wearing the Chanel CC Cream (see below) and a touch of bronzer from the Body Shop (http://goo.gl/2Mik2V) and then a couple of shades from the new Naked 3 Palette (Urban Decay) on my eyes.
