Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection 2013

by | May 2, 2013

face makeup review

I look forward to Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection every single year. It does very much the same thing every year, too, but it does it incredibly well; sexy, sparkling makeup that makes the skin glow in the daytime and gleam beautifully as the sun goes down. This year sees another Illuminating Powder Gelée – “Heat Wave” – which (for me at least) is the best yet. These illuminators have the most gorgeous, silky texture – they are brilliant for finely dusting over the cheekbones or using wet as an intense highlighter.

There’s a large, deep-ish toned bronzer that’s perfect for sweeping over face, bust, neck, arms – wherever you need a kiss of sun, and then there’s an eye palette in “Batik Sun”. The quad is right up my street – gold, bronze and a sparkling champagne but then a bright coral and a teal to add some little flashes of colour. There’s a liquid liner duo that I’m not so keen on – it didn’t last as well as some of Lauder’s mainline liners – but a few very tasty-looking lipsticks and glosses. As always, I shall endeavour to include some of these in videos soon – I really think that it’s the best way to see them properly.

The Bronze Goddess collection is out now. You can buy the full collection (prices are £30 for the illuminating gelée, £30 for the bronzer and £35 for the eye palette) at HouseofFraser.co.uk
