Moment of beauty hysteria over, I can tell you more calmly about the other items that are in my summer makeup bag. If you’re an avid IGTV viewer (that’s Instagram videos, to those who refuse to be sucked into the social media vortex) you’ll have already seen the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover in action and I did a little look with the brilliant new NARS Voyageur eye palettes only last week. For lips, Charlotte Tilbury’s new Hot Lips 2, for cheeks, Trinny London’s cream blush in Electra.
There are other beauty heroes included, namely the Dior Pump n Volume mascara that seems to be unbeatable for thick, lacquered lashes and the Invisible Bronze bronzer from Bare Minerals, but overall it’s really quite a tight edit. Summer essentials that perform so well you won’t be looking to change things up anytime soon…

Although I have quite a bit to get through in a short space of time, I do usually show each product in a bit of detail – how it applies, how the shade looks on my skintone, what the finish is like and so on.
